I thought it was pretty stellar actually. The effects work was top notch and I just love how Bassett shot the hell out of this thing. Quite frankly, it reminded me a lot of Jackson's style on the Lord of the Rings films. <br /><br />And Purefoy was pretty badass in this. Not a ...Literally just watched this at the weekend. Not a bad little fantasy action film. James Purefoy's strong performance is definitely the thing that holds the film together. <br /><br />My only complaint is that the flashbacks of Kane as a kid were weirdly flat compared to the rest of the film.
