Not that it would make the film any "more" entertaining with all of these elements, but it would definitely make it more badass and with a film like this and with a cast like this, it's just something I think action fanboys want to see. I'm optimistic though.robotGEEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00355070295108163031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-13320215661984275362012-01-28T08:50:53.420-08:002012-01-28T08:50:53.420-08:00I've been seeing this around on a lot of blogs...I've been seeing this around on a lot of blogs lately, and I've been meaning to hit it myself, because it looks like a lot of fun. And the one thing I'll say about a PG-13 Expendables 2, is that The Dark Knight was PG-13. By that standard, I guess it was only the language and occasional blood spatter that made The Expendables R. Who knows, I could be wrong and The Expendables 2 could suck because it's PG-13, but really it's gore, language, and female nudity that makes something R in America, not the actual violence.Direct to Video Connoisseurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02310858965138247572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-53901960841120026562012-01-24T19:52:49.753-08:002012-01-24T19:52:49.753-08:00That is what Bruce Willis said before Die Hard 4 c...That is what Bruce Willis said before Die Hard 4 came out...and that was a disaster! Haha....It is impossible that the movie is more violent as a lame PG-13.

But maybe it is all a trick for more publicity...there were scares of a lower rating for the 1st Expendables.Tyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06188012325610596179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-4319095793491160942012-01-24T17:58:25.871-08:002012-01-24T17:58:25.871-08:00I have to agree with you Ty. The thought of a PG13...I have to agree with you Ty. The thought of a PG13 expendables seems ridiculous to me. Of course, it's all about the money. The lower the rating, the more people can get in to see it. I keep reading articles where Terry Crews and such are trying to calm our fears by telling us that even though it' PG13, it's actually going to be more violent and we shouldn't worry. I don't know about that.robotGEEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00355070295108163031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-42657907495151648492012-01-24T17:08:07.873-08:002012-01-24T17:08:07.873-08:00Can't agree with you more! More Goldblatt!

Also somewhat off-topic: Isaac Florentine should have directed The Expendables II...that would have been amazing and he's worked with Van Damme, Dolph and Scott Adkins before....and Expendables II getting a PG-13 rating? A complete travesty to the idea of this sequel.Tyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06188012325610596179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-18117237097078573852012-01-24T11:29:32.782-08:002012-01-24T11:29:32.782-08:00I think I feel the same way Martin, it definitely ...I think I feel the same way Martin, it definitely seems to get better with age I think. As far as Goldblatt goes, you may be right. Maybe he just got burned out? Or maybe he wanted to leave on a high note after delivering two awesome pieces of Badass Cinema?robotGEEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00355070295108163031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-92064865120526288612012-01-23T22:38:18.091-08:002012-01-23T22:38:18.091-08:00Fun movie rG, the fx are really nicely done and I&...Fun movie rG, the fx are really nicely done and I'd say I enjoyed seeing this recently more than when it came out. Goldblatt has always been really talented, I can only assume it was a personal choice not to direct anymore?A hero never dieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13075070081480449104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-31924064539299503852012-01-23T20:42:16.887-08:002012-01-23T20:42:16.887-08:00Mitch: Absolutely, Piscopo ruled in this. I still ...Mitch: Absolutely, Piscopo ruled in this. I still can't understand why his film career never took off. I mean, "everybody" knows who he is and he's pretty great in everything he was in. I just don't get it. And you're right, Dead Heat "still" holds up really well. I think it's one of those rare occasions where all the right people involved really came together at just the right time.

Ingo: I hadn't seen it since the late 80's I think, or maybe the early 90's, but damn it's still awesome and very entertaining. What are the extras on that German DVD?

Ty: Man, we need to get some kind of petition going to get Goldblatt back behind the directors chair. Why did he stop making movies?! Dead Heat and then The Punisher only a year apart and then nothing?! He directs movies so much better than most of the DTV directors these days. He really needs to come back and show them how it's done.robotGEEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00355070295108163031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-87880304379172413092012-01-23T04:30:44.516-08:002012-01-23T04:30:44.516-08:00Treat Williams rules this movie! Treat and Joe are a great team. It's a shame Joe's film career never really panned out, because he did a fantastic job.
