The weakest for me was the Marquis De Sade. The mummy sequence was pretty cool too, but that one was also hindered by bad editing.robotGEEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00355070295108163031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-69983762921936114902011-11-26T08:02:02.803-08:002011-11-26T08:02:02.803-08:00Martin: Thanks man, and I hear ya. If they had tried to make it now, it wouldn't work. It would be too serious with actors from reality shows. It was a fun watch though and Hickox did some pretty awesome stuff with what little money he had. I think my main gripe would be the editing. I think the sloppy editing in some sequences really hurt the overall impact and "sometimes" made it look cheap. But for the most part it worked pretty well. As I said in the beginning of the review, I watched this one religiously when it first came out. It's one of those that I will always remember as being a fixture in my home growing up. Can't wait to check out part 2 in the near future. :)robotGEEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00355070295108163031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-83291604209829870442011-11-26T02:38:05.456-08:002011-11-26T02:38:05.456-08:00Yeah, caught this a while back along with the sequ...Yeah, caught this a while back along with the sequel. Great idea for a film but only so so execution if I'm completely honest.

It had the cast, the ideas, the gore but the directing and editing made it really sluggish to get through.Jack Thursbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03101157160144955486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-42601117467073348782011-11-26T00:57:12.866-08:002011-11-26T00:57:12.866-08:00rG. As you say some of the sequences work better than others but none of the outstay their welcome, and yes they're a little cheesy but it only adds to the charm for me. Nice write up.A hero never dieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13075070081480449104noreply@blogger.com
